Review Summary
The Emergency Workout is a weight loss system designed by Minna Lessig who many may remember from ESPN television and from fitness shows sponsored by Reebok and Crunch. Lessig has devoted her life studying and participating in various sports and fitness-related activities such as gymnastics, springboard diving and physical therapy. She is presently involved in helping people address their fitness needs. In our opinion, the experience of a person who develops a system does not necessarily guarantee that it is effective and easy to understand. Let us examine this plan and see if it has something valuable to offer consumers.

Concept
This weight loss system is DVD-based. It is a two-part program which includes aerobics and weight training. These two components are essential in an effective weight loss program. Aerobic activity increases metabolism and fat burning, while weight training builds muscle mass which in turn increases the body’s potential to burn calories. Despite the soundness of the program itself, the DVD medium may not be the most best way to learn safe and effective weight training techniques.
The aerobic section which Lessig designed is 30-minutes long and involves high energy dance moves. Her routine draws from a variety of dances such as cha-cha, mambo and salsa. The workout is intended to accelerate the heart rate and maintain it at that workout level for a sustained period of time. |

This system also comes with a diet planner which includes a sample diet menu. The menus contain 1,100-1,200 calories a day, something which may work for some, but not for others. There are many fitness-based weight loss systems which focus too much on burning fat but give very little attention to the diet component which is just as important. The website for this system, in fact, does not contain any diet information leading us to think that perhaps not enough work was put into creating it.

Diet Lifestyle
In many cases, the pounds slowly creep in unnoticed and often, it is only on a visit to the doctor when people suddenly realize that they have become overweight, or moved from being overweight to obese. For some, the bad news may a health report which states that their weight has put them at risk for serious diseases such as heart attack, diabetes, or even cancer. The encouraging news is that there are diet systems and holistic products which provide people with a solution which may help them avoid having to face such issues.

Final Thoughts
Emergency Workout may be appealing to those people who are primarily interested in toning up. Its diet component however, is extremely weak which is unfortunate as this aspect of weight loss is just as vital as the exercise component. When starting a new weight loss program, there are some people who want advice on to how to boost their metabolism and deal with their hunger and cravings. This is another aspect of a complete weight loss program which this plan does not deal with.
Working out seems to trigger hunger pangs and in some cases, overeating cancels out the fitness gains. In order to break this counterproductive cycle, many dieters have started taking holistic supplements to enhance their weight loss program. Many people have attested to the effectiveness of Hoodia in curbing the appetite and controlling food cravings. This is not really surprising as the ingredient has been proven in many clinical trials to be very effective.
