Review Summary
Extreme Fitness is a website that claims to be “Your ultimate fitness resource”. There are many sites on the Internet that claim the same thing but while some really do provide helpful information to readers, there are others that are simply marketing sites for products and ideas. The best way to find out is to examine a site closely to get a clearer idea of the reason for its existence. We shall be looking at the information and features provided on this site to find out what it has to offer.

Concept
The Extreme Fitness website is for bodybuilders. It features merchandize, photos, blogs, and a forum for readers. Readers are encouraged to participate by asking questions about muscle building and fitness or by posting relevant experiences. This approach can be very useful if those running the site remain consistent in terms of fitness and bodybuilding principles. However, while a free exchange of ideas among website followers is a good thing, there is also inevitably a great deal of conflicting experiences and advice shared. For certain individuals, this can be counterproductive.

Design
The website has five categories (home, store, forum, bogs, photos) each appearing to be a complete entity of its own. The Blogs section for example, has no less than 60 blogs posted with categories such as bodybuilding, fitness competition, personal, love, life, family, and friends.
We did a thorough review of the blogs and found them lacking in helpful weight loss, diet and fitness information. It seemed more like a collection of users’ internal psychodrama in blog format.
The forum section was no different. The chat room banter was just like those found on other websites. In other words, the information posted were not that helpful.

Lifestyle
The online store sells items such as computer software, books, CD’s, DVD’s, and supplements. Users are provided product comparisons from different vendors for the same product. The majority of the merchandise are snowboards, fitness equipment and clothing with very little supplements for dieters to choose from.
Holistically-based nutritional supplements have been proven to be effective in promoting weight loss and many dieters have successfully lost weight using these. The secrte lies in the quality ingredients included in their formulas such as the patented herbal extract Advantra-Z® which is an excellent thermogenic agent.

Final Thoughts
Extreme Fitness is a website for hardcore exercisers such as those who participate in bodybuilding and Iron Man competitions and marathons. In reality however, it functions more as a social network instead of an extreme fitness resource. It is a great site to interact with others of the same “extreme fitness” ilk but those seeking helpful workout information would most likely be disappointed.
The website’s online shop offers a lot of fitness equipment but offers very by way of supplements which is a big letdown because many dieters seek such sites for good holistic products that promote weight loss and muscle gain.
For example, people are looking for fat burners like Advantra-Z® which dramatically increases metabolism; Hoodia which has become the appetite suppressant of choice; and White Willow Bark which enhances the abilities of Advantra-Z® and soothes the aches and pains brought about by exercise, safely and naturally. |
